The San Antonio Business Journal recently released its list of honorees for the 2022 Women’s Leadership Awards, recognizing Gloria Z. Canseco, CEO, as an outstanding leader in the community.
Canseco was employed as Executive Director on August 1, 2012, coming from UT Health Science Center, where she served four years as a Director of Development. In the public service arena, Mrs. Canseco serves as Chairwoman of the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council, appointed by Governor Greg Abbott in 2019.
In 2017, Canseco was one of twenty participants selected by SA Area Foundation’s inaugural Andeavor Leadership Fellows Program. In 2014, she was awarded Business Leader of the year for the NonProfit Industry by the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. Prior experience includes four years as a Development Director for UT Health and three years as Development Director for Mercy Ministries of Laredo, a healthcare ministry serving a similar constituency.
Mrs. Canseco is a Phi Beta Kappa, cum laude graduate of Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia, and holds a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M International University. Congratulations, Gloria!
